Follow veterinarian guidelines for vaccinations and de-worming. With the
following Exception: "Puppy must not receive a vaccination within 7 days
of arriving at its new home." The
stress of coming to their new home and the flight is stress enough. Vaccination must be no less than three
weeks apart and no more than four weeks apart for a series of three. The age for the rabies vaccines varies from state to state.
All deposits are non-refundable.
Failure to keep your new puppy on the same type of food could result in
diarrhea, loss of appetite, hypoglycemic attacks (low blood sugar) or a
combination of these symptoms.
Because of all genetic and environmental factors involved, we cannot guarantee
that your puppy will be without hereditary defects. HOWEVER, we have done our
best to avoid passing on any undesirable traits, as far as it is possible to
determine, undesirable genetic characteristics.
With this said, if a puppy should develop any hereditary characteristics, such as
crippling hip dysplasia, hereditary heart or eye conditions, before the age of
twenty four months, that will affect the puppy’s life or physical abilities, we
will replace the puppy as soon as possible. (Replacement puppy may not be
available until our next planned litter). If a problem should arise, we require
that you take your puppy to a board certified veterinarian for a diagnosis. If
it is found that the puppy does indeed have a life altering genetic disorder a
second opinion is required for the final diagnosis.
Two Year Health Guarantee against Genetic Defects:
This puppy is guaranteed until two years of age against fatal congenital
disease which adversely affects the health of the animal. This includes kidney,
heart, pancreas, spine, and liver problems of a severe life threatening nature.
If the dog dies within this two year time frame, the buyer will pay to have it
autopsied by a licensed veterinarian to ascertain reason. If reason is
congenital, the Seller will replace the puppy. All veterinarian findings must
be submitted and signed by a licensed Veterinarian and be sent on the
Veterinarian's letterhead. Puppies commonly have benign heart murmurs,
which disappear by roughly 6 months of age. These puppy murmurs typically are
not cause for concern and are not covered.
All items covered under this guarantee are by replacement only. We do not give
refunds. Seller will not be responsible
for any medical expenses incurred. Buyer
is aware that owning a puppy means trips to the veterinarian and understands
that he/she will be responsible for all payments.
As of the date of delivery, the puppy has received proper vaccinations and
worming. A DETAILED RECORD OF YOUR PUPPY'S HEALTH & VACCINATIONS IS
INCLUDED IN YOUR PUPPY PACK. PLEASE TAKE THIS WITH YOU TO YOUR FIRST VISIT TO
YOUR VET TO MAKE SURE YOUR VET DOES NOT GIVE A VACCINATION THAT HAS ALREADY
No guarantee is given for any kind of worm, coccidia, or giardia. These
parasites are all too common to pups and can be contracted from your soil or
boarding facility. Your puppy has been wormed frequently from two weeks of age
until your possession. It is your responsibility to continue to worm your puppy
and check for parasites. Your puppy should be wormed every two weeks until it
is placed on a monthly heartworm preventative (Required). Internal flea
preventatives are not acceptable and will void your guarantee. Vectra
3D or Advantix is recommended for flea prevention.
A puppy with a defect must be returned to the seller to qualify for a
replacement puppy. NO REFUND, in part or in full, will be given. A returned
puppy must be returned to the seller in good condition, other than the
specified problem, at the buyer's expense. The owner will then qualify for a
replacement puppy. Buyer is responsible
for transportation costs to and from the seller on a replacement puppy. Seller
will not pay or be responsible for any veterinarian bills. Moreover, if you
decide to keep and treat a pup with a genetic defect or an ill puppy, seller
will void all aspects of this contract.
The guarantee applies to the
original puppy purchaser only and is non-transferable to a second party. This
puppy must not be re-sold to any owner, agent or individual connected with a
pet shop or wholesaler of pure-bred dogs in the United States or any other
NO replacement puppy will be covered under this guarantee if the puppy has
sired or whelped one or more pups.
Replacement puppy will be mutually agreed upon by both parties and will be of
comparable quality. It is understood that the replacement puppy may not be from
the exact same parents of the original puppy.
There are certain disorders that may be caused by environmental factors, for
example: allergies, thyroid dysfunction, demodectic mange, and other autoimmune
disorders that are not covered by this guarantee.
Physical problems that are or could be the result of injury, abuse, neglect, or
if the buyer fails to complete vaccinations and puppy checks by a qualified
Vet, are not covered under this guarantee.
Proof of said maintenance must be furnished upon request of breeder.
We also cannot guarantee adult size, color or temperament. While we do our best
to give an accurate adult weight, there is absolutely NO GUARANTEE that the
puppy will be the estimated size, or color. Coats and color may change.
If the buyer should decide for any reason, at any time during the life of the
dog, not to keep the above mentioned dog, he or she is to notify the breeder
who will have first option to re-purchase the dog at no more than the original
purchase price, minus any expenses incurred in placing or reconditioning the
dog. It is possible that the buyer may have to take less than the original
purchase price depending upon the age, training, and condition of the dog. If
the breeder refuses her first option the breeder will gladly assist with
re-homing the dog. If the dog is returned to the breeder then all costs to
return the puppy/dog will be assumed by the owner.
The puppy must be kept in a trim
weight – appropriate to its size and age – especially avoiding obesity. If the
dog is found to be obese then the contract is null and void.
Pet puppies should be spayed/neutered.
The puppy is not allowed to jump up or down from places higher than its
shoulder, or made to jog/run un-naturally up until eighteen months of age.
These conditions have been shown to bring about joint damage to puppies still
growing when their tender joints are most susceptible to damage.
This contract supersedes any and all previous agreements.
This contract is null and void if the terms and conditions are not fulfilled.
The buyer(s) shall agree that the
laws governing the State of Indiana shall be used to settle any disputes.
Should any court of competent jurisdiction or any legislation in the state
where this puppy shall reside cause any individual clause of this contract to
become null and void, the entire agreement, nonetheless is NOT null and void
and all other provisions shall remain in effect.
